Join the student chapters of ASID and IIDA to get a jump-start on your career. Both groups hold events where you can meet other students, network with professional designers, learn more about the industry, and give back through community service projects.
More than 8,000 student members of ASID in 180 schools across the country form the largest network of interior design students worldwide. ASID student membership is the best way to meet the professionals, connect with peers through Career Day, compete in interior design award programs sponsored by ASID, stay informed on current issues, and make the transition to Allied Membership in ASID after graduation.
IIDA, the International Interior Design Association, is an organization of more than 11,000 members representing interior designers world wide. Student members are encouraged to interact and participate fully in all activities and planning sessions and have voting representation on the Chapter Board of Directors through an elected representative.
The Design Institute of San Diego Student Ambassador program is an elite group of current students who are selected on the basis of leadership, scholarship, professionalism and desire to engage and promote student activities and events. There are only seven positions available. Ambassadors uphold the philosophy, mission and goals of DISD by personal example and by serving as hosts and hostesses for DISD.
