EMAIL + IT
Use your DI username and password to log into the DI computers, access your DI email, log into your DI Library account, print, make copies, and add money to your PaperCut account.
Your Z drive is your personal storage space on the DI servers, which are backed up regularly. To access your Z drive on campus, simply go to This PC.
Go to office.com to log into your Microsoft 365 school account, where you can check your email, access Class Notebooks, access OneDrive, and more.
OneDrive allows you to save files of any type in the cloud, access them from anywhere with an internet connection, and share them with others.
DI students can also download and install Microsoft software (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and more) on up to 5 personal computers or other devices. Simply log into Microsoft 365, click Install Office, and follow the prompts.
Any time you have questions about or encounter problems using DI technology, please email IT support. If you are reporting a problem on campus, please include in your email the building number, room number, and computer or printer name.
Tutors for Photoshop and AutoCAD are available throughout the week. Contact Student Services for more information.
All students have a PaperCut account for printing and copying on campus. Click here for PaperCut instructions and fees.
Computer labs in Building 6 have printers and plotters.
Students can also print (from the computer or a USB drive), copy (color or black and white), and scan to email using the Xerox machine in the Library. Printing and copying charges using the Library Xerox are the same as for the LaserJets in the computer labs.
VPN (Virtual Private Network) software allows you to access your Z drive, the Shared Drive, and the Public Drive from home.
The VPN software, instructions on how to install and use the VPN, and shortcuts to access your Z drive, the Shared Drive, and the Public Drive are located on the Public Drive in the “VPN for Students” folder. Copy the entire folder onto a flash drive, take it home, and follow the Installation instructions first. Then follow the Instructions on how to use the VPN.
The BFA and MID programs require all students to have a Via account (a one-time fee is assessed upon entering the program). Each student's Via subscription is for seven years, meaning their ePortfolio can travel with them well after graduation.
