Services for Students and Faculty

Research Assistance

  • The DI Library staff is available during Library hours to help students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members find the information and inspiration they need for academic and professional projects.
  • Research assistance is available in person, on Zoom, over the phone, and by email.

Computers and Internet Access

  • Two computers have access to the internet, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD.
  • The DI wireless network is available for students who wish to work on their laptops.

Scanning

  • One computer has an 11x17 flatbed scanner.
  • The Xerox machine can scan materials and send the PDF files to an email address.

Printing and Copying

  • The Xerox machine allows printing, copying, and scanning to email. Print and copy options include 8.5x11 (letter) paper, 11x17 (ledger) paper, image lightening and darkening, color adjustments, and double-sided.
  • Black and white printing and copying is $0.08 per page (letter size). Color printing and copying is $0.45 per page (letter size). Prices for 11x17 (ledger) paper are $0.16 per page for black and white, and $0.90 per page for color.

Free Magazines

  • Free art, architecture, design, and general interest magazines and product catalogs are usually available for students. These magazines and catalogs can be cut up for use in projects.

Kravet Resource Center

  • The Kravet Resource Center, located in the DI Library, includes current sample books for Kravet fabrics, wallcoverings, trimmings, and other materials.
  • Students may request a student account for eDesignTrade.com, Kravet's website for design professionals.
  • Students may browse the sample books in the Library and order their own free memo samples online using their eDesignTrade accounts.
