WHAT'S HAPPENING AT DI:
When you think of a successful business woman what do you see? Looking at her extensive list of design projects, volunteer experience, awards and publications, "success" might just be the very best word to describe DI grad Viveca Bissonnette. Instead of sitting high on all of her accomplishments you'll find her down to earth and looking forward to her next great design adventure.
So how did this unstoppable force come to be? >>
DI students love being involved with real time design experiences and so when the opportunity to help HGTV designer, Tanya Nayak, came along there was an enthusiastic responseā¦to say the least! Tanya was in San Diego helping Food Network's Robert Irvine, with his Restaurants Impossible show and, to make it happen, she needed some extra hands.
DI students responded to the call! >>
Sandra Gramley has taught at Design Institute for over 10 years and tells us she has always wanted to be an architect. She was attracted to architecture because, for her, the profession seamlessly merges her artistic side with her problem solving and technical side. Having a natural talent for math has been a plus as well. Sandra did not stop at becoming a licensed architect she took it one step further and is also a LEED accredited professional.

It's great to see what our amazing seniors are up to but guess what...we have amazing freshmen too! We decided to sit down with one of these exceptional newbies to get the real scoop on what it's like to start at DI.
